Seychelles Travel Co. is a destination management company incorporated in Victoria, Mahé, Republic of Seychelles. We design and operate private journeys throughout the Seychelles archipelago, including inter-island itineraries, yacht charter coordination, property advisory, and conservation-linked travel experiences.

When you contact us, submit an enquiry, or engage with our website, you are sharing information with Seychelles Travel Co. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. We do not use complex legal language to obscure what we do. We use your data to design your journey and for no other purpose.

What information we collect

We collect only the information you provide directly to us. This typically includes:

• Your name and email address, submitted through our enquiry form or any direct correspondence.
• Your approximate travel dates and party size, which help us design a proposal suited to your group.
• Your message or any freeform notes you include in an enquiry — the islands you have in mind, the kind of week you are imagining, any special occasions or requirements.
• Your telephone number, if you provide it voluntarily.
• Technical data generated automatically when you visit our website, including your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and the pages you visit. We use this data only in aggregate and only to understand how the site is being used.

We do not collect payment card information directly. If a booking deposit or payment is required, it is processed by a regulated third-party payment provider under their own privacy and security terms, which we will make available to you at that stage.

How we use your information

Your information is used for one primary purpose: to respond to your enquiry and, if you proceed, to design and manage your journey. Specifically, we use it to:

• Reply to your enquiry by email, typically within 12 hours of our working day in Victoria (GMT+4).
• Prepare a bespoke travel proposal tailored to your dates, group size, and stated preferences.
• Coordinate with our partner properties, guides, charter operators, and conservation organisations on your behalf — sharing only the information they need to deliver the services you have requested.
• Send you the post-trip conservation impact report, which details the environmental and community contributions associated with your journey.
• Improve our website and how we communicate, using aggregated and anonymised analytics data.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making. We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not add you to a marketing list without your explicit consent, and we do not send marketing communications unless you have specifically asked to receive them.

Who we share your information with

We share your information only when it is necessary to deliver your journey. This means:

Partner properties and operators. When you book accommodation, a charter, or a guided experience, the relevant property or operator will receive the information they need to prepare for your arrival — your name, party size, dietary requirements, and any accessibility or medical notes you have shared with us. We share the minimum required, not your complete file.

Conservation partners. Where your journey includes a contribution to or participation in a conservation programme — the Seychelles Islands Foundation, Island Conservation Society, or a partner island's restoration team — we may share your name and contact details so that they can send you the relevant programme documentation or impact certificate. We will always tell you before we do this.

Service providers. We use a small number of technology services to operate this website and manage correspondence. These providers are bound by their own data protection obligations and are not permitted to use your data for any purpose other than the service they provide to us.

How long we keep your information

We keep your enquiry records for three years from the date of last contact. If you book a journey with us, we retain the records relevant to that booking for seven years, in line with standard business and tax record requirements. After those periods, your records are deleted.

If you would like us to delete your records before those periods expire, you may request this at any time. We will confirm deletion within 30 days unless we are legally required to retain specific records (for example, for tax or insurance purposes, in which case we will tell you which records and why).

Your rights

You have the right to ask us what information we hold about you, to correct any information that is inaccurate, and to request that we delete your records. You also have the right to object to certain uses of your data, or to ask us to restrict how we use it while a complaint or query is being resolved.

Cookies

This website uses a small number of cookies — small text files stored in your browser — to make the site function correctly and to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use it. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies that follow you across other websites. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time, though some features of the site may not function correctly if you do.
