Whole-Island Buyouts
An entire island, exclusively yours. Staff, schedule, and silence included.
What the week feels like
There are eleven villas on North Island. On the night of a whole-island buyout, they are all yours. So is the dive centre, the spa, the beach, the kitchen garden, and the 350,000 endemic trees that the conservation team has spent twenty years replanting.
You also have the staff — forty-two people, who have recalibrated their entire operation around your group. The chef has your dietary notes. The marine biologist has planned the snorkel route around the feeding patterns of the hawksbill turtle that lives on the house reef. The conservation manager has arranged for your group to participate in the morning tortoise census, if you want to.
This is the format we design for family reunions that have outgrown a villa. For corporate groups that need privacy and cannot have a stranger at the next table. For a milestone birthday with thirty people who all deserve their own beach.
We have placed groups on North Island, Denis Island, Cousine, Bird Island, and Desroches. Each island has a different character, a different ecology, and a different minimum group size. The conversation begins with what you need the island to feel like.
Nou zil, nou ledwa — our islands, our pride.
The shape of it
Only we can take you here
The parts no brochure mentions
When the island is yours, the staff can do things no resort schedule allows. These are the requests we quietly make possible.
North Island — West Beach
A cinema on the sand
The staff build a screen between two takamaka trees, lay out daybeds for thirty, and the chef runs a Creole grill through the film. We have shown a family's own wedding video here, a child's first football match, and — once — a premiere, three days before general release. When there is no one else on the island, the definition of possible changes.
Denis Island
The turtle patrol at dawn
Between October and January, green and hawksbill turtles nest on Denis almost nightly. On a buyout, the island's conservation officer will wake your group at first light when a nest is hatching — and your grandchildren will shepherd hatchlings to the water line with their own hands, under supervision that has run for two decades.
Cousine Island
Dinner in the research station
Cousine is a conservation island first and a resort second — four villas, one scientist. On exclusive occupation, the resident ecologist hosts a dinner where the table conversation is magpie-robins, not menus. Guests regularly tell us it was the best evening of the week. There are 25 places on earth to see this bird. You are staying on one.
Any island — your choice
The staff's own Seychelles
On the final evening we arrange a sega night — not a performance for tourists, but the island staff's own music, with their families invited across from neighbouring islands. It ends with your guests dancing barefoot with the people who cooked their breakfast. No one has ever declined a second song.
